Ashen Crown will play the pregame show at a New England minor league hockey team's home opener this October, the team announced Monday. The band is also recording a custom goal horn track that will play at every home game this season.
Vocalist Jax Merritt, a former college football player, said the booking was personal. "I spent years on the other side of this, in a locker room, listening to whatever the arena played. Now we get to pick."

The pregame set starts one hour before puck drop. Fans with tickets can enter early for the show.
