The Linebacker Who Tours With His Band All Offseason
Most players spend the offseason resting. This one spends it in a van, playing bass in a thrash band across the Northeast.
When the season ends, Andre Kowalski packs a bass guitar, a duffel bag and a foam roller into a fifteen-passenger van. For the next two months he plays small clubs across the Northeast with his thrash band, Vultures of Dusk.
His coaches were nervous at first. Now they ask for tour dates.
Loading gear at two in the morning is the best conditioning I do all year.
